MOHAMMED FAROOQ, CEO AND CHAIRMAN

Mohammed Farooq is the CEO and Chairman of Gravitant, Inc. Mohammed is a business and technology veteran with 16 years of IT experience and is a seasoned executive with over 12 years of direct experience in building early-stage companies and managing technology strategy for multi-billion dollar enterprises. At Gravitant^®, Mohammed manages strategic direction, sales, marketing, product planning, business development and finance.

 

As part of Gravitant Consulting Services, Mohammed has provided technology recommendations and solution options for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, a $54 billion enterprise. At HHS Texas, Mohammed assisted in the transformation of business performance and technology architectures and solutions to improve customer service and reduce operations costs.

 

Prior to Gravitant, Mohammed was a Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at Commerce One, where he conceptualized and commercialized the industry's first services-oriented architecture platform and supplier relationship management product line in collaboration with SAP. Previously, Mohammed was part of the core team at Exterprise Inc., where he developed the product vision and strategy. He was also responsible for managing sales operations, resulting in $4M in sales the first year. Exterprise successfully commercialized the industry’s first collaborative process management platform, leading to its acquisition by Commerce One.

 

Mohammed has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Gulbarga University, India. He also has a MS in Industrial Engineering, MS in Computer Science and an MBA in Corporate Finance and Business Strategy from the University of Oklahoma.
